”Maeglin, son of Eöl the Dark Elf and Aredhel Ar-Feiniel, the White Lady of the Noldor. A character from Tolkien’s Silmarillion.
His name means “Sharp glance”. His Quenya name (given him by Aredhel) is Lómion, “Son of Twilight”.
Even if he acts in a cruel way he’s one of my favourites, I think he recalls in some way some Shakesperean tragic characters. Anyway, perfect characters are often too unreal, they sometimes seem without soul, that’s why I often prefer troubled ones ^^”
